Demetre Haralamb Chiparus Was Born In Dorohoi, Romania In 1886. The Well-Known Art Deco Artist And Sculptor Studied In Italy And France Where He Attend The Ecole Des Beaux Arts. Two Years After He Went To Paris, He Exhibited His Artwork Made Of Ivory And Bronze At The Salon In Paris In 1914. His First Sculptures Were Series Of Small Children. Nowadays His Sculptures Are Remarkable Decorative Art Objects Which Were Influenced By The French Theatre, Russian Ballet, Pictures From Fashion Magazines, His Interest In Fashion As Well As His Interest In Egyptian Culture. Demetre Haralamb Chiparus Died In 1947 And Is Buried Close To Paris At The Bagneux Cemetery. The Largest Collection Of Chiparus Art Work And His Sculptures Is Exhibited In Moscow.
