Demetre Haralamb Chiparus Was Born In Dorohoi, Romania On September 16, 1886. As An Extraordinary Artist He Lived His Life In High Esteem. The Name Haralamb Was The Name Of His Father Which He Adopted To Keep Him In Loving Memory. It Was 1909 When D. H. Chiparus Decided To Travel And Study In Florence. In 1912 He Moved To Paris Where He Studied Under Boucher And Mercier. Since 1914 He Exhibited His Artwork At The Salon In Paris. His Beautiful Artwork Was Influenced By The French Theatre, His Interest In Egyptian Culture And Russian Dancers And The Russian Ballet. Almost All His Sculptures Are Images Of This Different Influences And Interests Of D. H. Chiparus Who Died On January 22, 1947.
