The Artist Demetre Haralamb Chiparus Who Was Born On September 16, 1886 In Dorohoi, Romania Is Well Known For His Beautiful Art Deco Sculptures. Demetre H. Chiparus Was Always Inspired By The French Theatre, Fashion, Russian Dancers And The Russian Ballet As Well As By The Egyptian Culture. Almost All Of His Sculptures, Except Those Which Portrayed Young Children, Were Influenced By One Of The Named Sources Of Inspiration. Chiparus Studied In Florence And In Paris And Exhibited His Art At The Salon In Paris Since 1914. The Life Of The Great Sculptor Ended After He Suffered A Stroke Returning From The Zoo In Vincennes, Where He Studied Animals On January 22, 1947.
