The Small Romanian Town Dorohoi Is The Birthplace Of Demetre Haralamb Chiparus, The Child Of Haralamb And His Wife Saveta. Chiparus Was Born On September 19, 1886. He Later Became One Of The Most Important Artists Of The Art Deco. He Produced Many Sculptures Made Of Ivory And Bronze, Which Are Called Chryselephantine Sculptures. His Great And Impressive Artwork Was Influenced By Several Sources Of Inspiration. He Loved The French Theatre As Well As The Russian Ballet. Some Of His Work Was Influenced By Photos From Fashion Magazines And Others By His Interest In Egyptian Culture. D. H. Chiparus Dies On January 22, 1947 And Was Buried South Of Paris, France.
