Alfred Stevens Was Born On January 28, 1818 In Dorset And Studied Art In Rome, Milano, Florence, Venice, Naples, Capri And The City Of Pompeii. While Staying In Foreign Countries He Was Also Working For The Well-Known Sculptor Bertel Thorvaldsen. England Stevens Was Working As A Teacher At The “School Of Design” And Was Also Working As An Executive Employee At A Factory That Was Focused On Creating Bronze Sculptures In The City Of Sheffield. In 1856 Stevens Took Part In The Competition For The Wellington Monument At St. Paul’S Cathedral And Did Win It. Almost All His Life Was Dedicated To Creating The Monument. Therefore He Only Created A Few Other Sculptures; Some Of Them Are Exhibited At The “Victoria And Albert Museums”. Alfred Stevens Died At The Age Of 57 In London For Unknown Reasons.
