Alfred Stevens Was A British Sculptor, Whose Original Works Can Be Visited At The Victoria And Albert Museum In Central London. Stevens Was Born On January 28, 1818 In Dorset And Is Mostly Known As The Creator Of The Wellington Monument At St. Paul’S Cathedral. This Masterpiece Is Known As One Of His Most Famous Sculptures Because It Took Him Almost His Whole Life To Complete It. Stevens Was Also Working At The “School Of Design” And, For One Year, For The Sculptor Bertel Thorvaldsen. After He Came Back To England He Was A Leading Employee Of A Bronze Factory In Sheffield. The Life Of The Great English Sculptor Alfred Stevens Ended 1875 At The Age Of 57 In His Londin Studio For Reasons Still Unknown.
