The Popular Radiator Mascot “Spirit Of Ecstasy” In This Version Here Was Made By The Sculptor Alfred Stevens. The Only Reason “Spirit Of Ecstasy” Was Once Created Was Because Of A Great Idea Of The British Lord Montagu, Who Wanted A Radiator Mascot For His Rolls-Royce. Therefore He Ordered A Little Sculpture From The Sculptor Sykes. Sykes Accepted The Deal And Started To Create A Radiator Mascot Inspired By The Goddess Nike And By The British Woman Miss Eleanor Velasco Thornton (1881- 1951), Who Was His Model For This Work. Later, The Idea Of Radiator Mascots Got So Popular That Other Companies Adopted The Idea. Even Today The Famous Figure “Spirit Of Ecstasy” Still Decorates Every Rolls-Royce.
