A Symbol Of God, A Zodiac Sign And One Of The Most Impressive Creatures Of The Forest – The Ram. With The Motif Of A Proud Ram Trotting Away, Alfred Stevens Proves That Abstract But Authentic Animal Sculptures Are Part Of His Artistic Prowess. The Detailed Saddle Of The Animal Connects It To A Mythological Or Religious Background. The Animal’S Delicately Shaped Extremities Underline The Impressive Overall Effect Of The Bronze Sculpture. The Modest, Flat Marble Base Underneath The Goat Completes The Dynamic Motif.
